Ecsenius Blennies are sometimes referred to as Clown Blennies. Blennies should be added to well established aquariums. Rock work should be provided for perching, hiding and grazing. Ecsenius Blennies are considered to be easy and peaceful however, can become aggressive to other fish resembling their shape. If sufficient algae isn't present supplement with algae-based foods and algae matter. Males tend to be larger than females. Most Blennies lack or have very small swim bladders. Be sure to provide an aquarium with a tight-fitting lid as Blennies may jump.
The Tail Spot Blenny shows an orange to brown colouration with a black spot on its caudal peduncle and black and yellow band below its eye. Tail Spot Blenny can grow up to 8cm in length.
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 45L or larger for this species.
