Pseudocheilinops Ataenia
Pseudocheilinops Wrasse are small, shy and secretive fish generally found among heavy coral growth. Pseudocheilinops Wrasse should be added to a large well established aquarium with plenty of swimroom as they are open water swimmers. . Provide plenty of rockwork with cracks, caves and crevices for hiding. Pseudocheilinops can be kept with other peaceful tank mates but only 1 male per aquarium. Wrasse are hermaphrodites meaning they start as juveniles/females but at some point in their life may turn into a male. Provide an aquarium with a tight-fitting lid as they may jump.
The Pink Streaked Wrasse are also sometimes known as the Pelvic Spot Wrasse. The Pink Streaked Wrasse colouration may vary depending upon maturity, collection area or breeding period. The Pink Streaked Wrasse show pink with blue spots and horizontal yellow lines with female colouration are more subdued. Pelvic Spot Wrasse can grow up to 6cm in length.
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 120L or larger for this species.
