Ostorhinchus Apogonoides
Ostorhinchus Cardinalfish should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of room to swim. Plenty of rock work with caves and ledges should be provided for grazing and hiding. Most Ostorhinchus Cardinalfish are peaceful schooling fish but carefully research each species before adding to your aquarium. A diverse diet of enriched meaty foods should be provided for continued good health. Most Ostorhinchus Cardinalfish are active at night and rest during the day. Some Cardinalfish are mouth brooders research each species to ensure the appropriate care is given. They are slow methodical swimmers house with other peaceful tank mates.
Goldbelly Cardinalfish show A reddish-grey cardinalfish becoming a deep golden-yellow below with two stripes from the upper jaw through the eye and across the gill cover, three rows of bluish spots along the midsides, and a dusky tip on the first dorsal fin. Juveniles are pale yellowish with short blue lines on the snout. The Goldbelly Cardinal grows up to 8cm in length.
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 100L or larger for this species.
