Pseudocheilinus Octotaenia
Pseudocheilinops Wrasse are small, shy and secretive fish generally found among heavy coral growth. Pseudocheilinops Wrasse should be added to a large well-established aquarium with plenty of swimroom as they are open water swimmers. Provide plenty of rockwork with cracks, caves and crevices for hiding. Pseudocheilinops can be kept with other peaceful tank mates but only 1 male per aquarium. Wrasse are hermaphrodites meaning they start as juveniles/females but at some point in their life may turn into a male. Provide an aquarium with a tight fitting lid as they may jump.
The Eight Line Wrasse are also sometimes known as the Eight Stripe Wrasse, show red to yellow colour with eight purple thin stripes running horizontally and small yellow spots on their cheeks and gill cover. Some Eight Line Wrasses have been seen with yellow dots and dashes on them. Eight Line Wrasse can grow up to 13cm in length.
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 200L or larger for this species.
Due to variations within species and age of fish, your item may not look identical to the image provided.
